Our Basilica

To you, the people of all nations, a welcome to Mary's beloved Shrine - "this place of pilgrimage" long blessed by His Holiness Saint John Paul II.

Ours is a house that faith built, these grounds now hallowed by the prayers and continuing sacrifices of Christ's faithful, yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Feast of Mary, Mother of the Church

Monday, May 21st, 6:00 pm

Pope Francis has decreed that a new feast day, the Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, will now be celebrated yearly on the Monday after Pentecost. Please join us as we celebrate the inaugural Mass.

The Basilica

Enter friend, enter pilgrim. For herein lies a House of God... a spiritual refuge for all who seek comfort, uplift and renewal in union with Mary and her Divine Son.

Lift up your eyes, your heart; come rest your soul in the presence of Our Lord. Come find His peace.

Stained Glass

Here at Mary's Shrine,
the most beloved
traditions of
spiritual expression
and stained-glass
artistry emerge
once more, unfolding
and illuminating
the profound truths of
Christ's Gospels
and the age-old narratives
of man's relationship
with God.

Mother & Child Outdoor Chapel

Years before the doors
would open on the church
at Mary's Shrine, a unique
outdoor chapel took form.
Within, a bronze sculpture
depicted the boy Jesus
rushing to the safe harbor
of His mother's arms.
As strikingly original as
the surrounding chapel,
it endures, the very image
of maternal love.

Shrine Happenings

From classical programs to Basilica choir performances;
museum gallery offerings
and scholarly guest lecturers;
to unique, cultural events
for the faithful of every age,
the Basilica's commitment
to celebrating the sacred in
art, music and educational
outreach continues to
grow; helping to enrich
the lives of young children, families and pilgrim visitors from all lands.
